In order to keep the cost to you down we have developed a system to produce websites quickly and efficiently.
To start, we will build the shell of the website for you. We will design it and get everything working properly. Then the content needs to be put into your web pages.We can do this for you, or you can do it yourself and save a couple dollars. This is done by logging into your content editor and filling out a form that asks basic information about your business, selecting how many pages you want, and then typing in the content that you want to appear on your pages. You will also have the ability to add photos, and links. If you need help coming up with content we can assign a marketing specialist to assist you for an additional fee. If you need help using the content editor you can either attend one of our classes, schedule a phone consultation or have us put your content in for you at our normal hourly rate.
Here is a breakdown of how the system works.
- You will gather the information and materials required as explained to you by the person who takes your order.
- A designer will speak with you to discuss your goals for the website.
- Payment will be required before your website goes into production. Payment can be made by cash, check, money order, PayPal or credit card. We will wait until the funds clear before your project goes into production.
- Your website will go into production and you will be emailed a link to view the website when it’s ready.
- Once you view your website you can approve it or have us make additional changes. Two edits are included in the cost of the website and then any additional edits will be billed at our normal hourly rate no matter how small, so make sure to get all your change requests in right away. You have 5 business days to send us your changes. After that, your website is considered “approved” and any additional edits will be billed at our normal hourly rate.
- When your website design has been approved by you we will send you a link and login information so that you can edit your content if you ordered a CMS type website. If you require assistance with the content editor we are here to help. Most of the time we can walk clients through how to use the content editor in a short phone call at no charge. We have put a lot of time and research into making the editor as easy to use as possible. If you require further assistance you can attend one of our classes (this can also be done over the phone or online if you can’t make it in) or we can put your content in for you at our normal hourly rate.
- Once your content has been added in and you are satisfied with how everything looks we will submit your website to the search engines for you. It can take up to 3 months for your website to appear in the search engine results.
Search Engine Optimization
Your Digi Donkey Website will have all the tools you need for search engine optimization. You will have access to your meta tags as well as the ability to add in Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics and a Robots.txt file. We offer training on how to do this yourself, you can have us do it for you for an additional fee or you can speak to one of our consultants for a more robust Internet marketing plan.
